President Prabowo's Commitment, Keep the Debt Ratio Below 40 Percent and the State Budget Deficit Below 3 Percent

Jakarta - Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto conveyed President Prabowo Subianto's commitment that the government is committed to maintaining the debt ratio below 40 percent of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and the state budget deficit below 3 percent.

Airlangga conveyed this after attending a Government Working Meeting at the State Palace, Wednesday, April 8. Airlangga added that Indonesia's economy is currently in good condition.

This is reflected in various indicators such as the Consumer Confidence Index, the Manufacturing Purchasing Managers Index (PMI), foreign exchange reserves, the balance of payments, and so on. Tax revenue also grew.

The government is also optimistic that economic growth in the first quarter of 2026 can reach 5.5 percent.
