iPhone Ultra Ready to Shake the World: 5,800mAh Battery, Foldable, and Thinner than Rivals!
Apple is back in the spotlight after the latest leak revealed the presence of a revolutionary device called the iPhone Ultra, which is said to be the first folding iPhone in the history of the Cupertino company. This information comes from technology YouTuber Jon Prosser through the FrontPageTech channel, which was previously known for often leaking Apple products, although it had dealt with the law with the technology giant.
In its latest leak, the iPhone Ultra comes with a design that is quite familiar - following the previously circulating renderings. However, there are a number of interesting details that make this device potentially a game changer in the foldable smartphone market.
One of the most eye-catching is its battery capacity which reaches 5,800mAh. This figure is quite large for a folding device, even surpassing most of its current competitors. For comparison, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 is only equipped with a 4,400mAh battery, while the next generation is expected to only touch 5,000mAh. With this capacity, Apple seems to want to dispel one of the main weaknesses of folding phones: battery life.
Interestingly, Apple does not use silicon-carbon technology as some Android brands have started to adopt, but relies on high-density battery technology to achieve large capacity without sacrificing design.
In terms of performance, the iPhone Ultra is said to be powered by Apple's latest chip, the A20, which will also be used on the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max lines. This chip is combined with Apple's second-generation internal modem, the C2, which is claimed to bring significant improvements including support for satellite connectivity.
Not only that, the iPhone Ultra will also come with 12GB of RAM, matching the main competitors in the foldable class. This combination is believed to provide high performance, both for multitasking and heavy computing needs.
In the camera sector, Apple seems to have maintained high quality. Leaks mention two rear cameras, each with a resolution of 48MP for the main and ultrawide lenses. As for the front camera, Apple is said to be testing under-display camera (UDC) technology on the inner screen, although it is not certain whether this feature will be present in the final version.
In terms of design, the iPhone Ultra has a thickness of around 4.5mm when opened and 9.5mm when folded. This makes it thinner than some competitors such as the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold and Motorola Razr Fold, although it is still slightly thinner than the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7.
Even so, this dimension still shows that Apple is serious about bringing a competitive foldable device, especially in the United States market. Especially when compared to several models from China that are thinner, but not widely available in the global market.
Regarding the launch schedule, the iPhone Ultra is expected to be introduced in September 2026, along with the launch of the iPhone 18 Pro line. Interestingly, despite rumors of delays, the latest leaks say that internally Apple is still on track for the schedule.
If all of these leaks are accurate, then the iPhone Ultra is not just a new product, but a big step for Apple in entering the folding smartphone market - challenging the dominance of Android players who have already been present in this segment.
