Strengthen Electrification, Foton Introduces eTUNLAND to eTRUCKMATE at GIICOMVEC 2026

JAKARTA - PT Indomobil Global Transportasi together with Foton emphasized its seriousness in encouraging the transformation of business mobility in Indonesia through participation in the GIICOMVEC 2026 event which took place at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta, on April 8-11, 2026. Foton presents an electric-based commercial vehicle approach as a more efficient, productive, and sustainable future solution for various industrial sectors.

As a global manufacturer that has reached more than 130 countries, Foton continues to strengthen the innovation of commercial vehicles that are adaptive to the dynamics of the needs of modern industries. Support for a global manufacturing network and research centers is the main foundation in presenting competitive mobility solutions that are relevant to electrification trends.

"Foton is committed to providing future-oriented commercial vehicle solutions. Through electric vehicle innovation, we want to ensure that every business trip can run more efficiently, sustainably, and reliably," said Luis Huo of Foton Global in Jakarta, yesterday.

In Indonesia, this commitment is realized through a long-term strategy that focuses on developing a commercial electric vehicle ecosystem. Foton Indonesia COO, Edi Napis, assessed Indonesia as a strategic market with great potential in the adoption of electric vehicles, in line with the government's push to accelerate the electrification of the automotive sector, including the commercial segment.

"Foton is present in Indonesia not only to present products, but as a partner that supports business operational transformation through integrated and sustainable mobility solutions," he explained.

In line with this vision, Foton introduced "Easy Move", an integrated mobility ecosystem designed as an end-to-end solution. This system connects people, vehicles, and logistics in an integrated platform, while affirming the concept of value beyond the vehicle, that Foton does not just sell vehicles, but also provides added value for customer business operations, especially in fleet management.

Through this approach, Foton presents a comprehensive solution that includes electric vehicle technology, charging infrastructure, to after-sales services to ensure optimal operations. In a period of about three years, Foton Indonesia also recorded significant progress by expanding the after-sales service network to more than 59 points in various regions, in order to support customer needs quickly and reliably.

Participation in GIICOMVEC 2026 is proof of Foton's seriousness in developing the Indonesian market while introducing the brand's development direction which focuses on electrification. In this exhibition, Foton presents a complete line of commercial vehicles, with emphasis on electric-based solutions that remain flexible for various operational needs.

One of the main highlights is the debut appearance of the eTUNLAND electric double cabin, which is designed as a multi-purpose vehicle for business needs. In addition, Foton also showcased eVIEW CONNECT as an electric van for operational mobility, eTRUCKMATE for light logistics needs, as well as eMILER and eAUMARK which were developed to support distribution and logistics in various sectors.

To support this expansion, Foton Indonesia also strengthened its commitment through local assembly with a Completely Knocked Down (CKD) scheme at the Indomobil facility in Pulo Gadung, Jakarta. This local production is focused on the eMILER, eAUMARK, and eTRUCKMATE models, to ensure unit availability, accelerate distribution, and allow adjustments to domestic market needs.

This step is also accompanied by the achievement of the Domestic Component Level (TKDN) of 36.25 percent, as a form of contribution to strengthening the national automotive industry. On the other hand, Foton also presents an interactive booth experience that allows visitors to get closer to electric vehicle technology through consultation sessions and product exploration directly.
