Prabowo Reviews the Transjakarta Electric Bus Assembly Plant at VKTR Magelang

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto had a look at the Transjakarta electric bus assembled at the electric-based commercial vehicle factory owned by PT VKTR Teknologi Mobilitas, Tbk in Magelang, Central Java, Thursday, April 9.

Based on monitoring of the live broadcast on the President's Secretariat YouTube, quoted by Antara, Prabowo arrived at the location at around 11.30 WIB to inaugurate the factory.

Before the inauguration, Prabowo had toured to see various electric vehicles that were assembled at the factory, ranging from trucks to buses.

At that moment, the Head of State briefly entered the Transjakarta electric bus assembled by the factory.

Prabowo sat in the back row of the vehicle for about five minutes, while listening to an explanation from the President Commissioner of PT VKTR Mobility Technology Anindya Novyan Bakrie.

After that, the President continued to review a number of other electric vehicle units located within the factory.

In the activity, Prabowo was accompanied by Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.

President Prabowo is scheduled to inaugurate the electric-based commercial vehicle factory owned by PT VKTR Teknologi Mobilitas, Tbk in Magelang.

The Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Wednesday, April 8, conveyed that the factory produces electric-based transportation vehicles such as buses and trucks as part of the development of the domestic electric vehicle industry.

He also said the inauguration of the factory was in line with the government's efforts to encourage a shift from fossil-based energy use to renewable energy, including electricity, in the transportation sector.

The government, he continued, has also issued various policies that lead to the transformation of energy use, including encouraging changes in people's transportation patterns to reduce dependence on fossil fuels.
