Andre Fernando Alias "The Doctor" Arrested in Malaysia, Here's the Chronology
JAKARTA - The Narcotics Crime Directorate (Dittipidnarkoba) of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police revealed the chronology of the arrest of drug trafficker Andre Fernando alias "The Doctor" alias Charlie who was arrested in Malaysia.
Director of Narcotics Crime (Dirtipidnarkoba) of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police, Brig. Gen. Pol. Eko Hadi Santoso revealed that based on immigration data, Andre was known to have left the Indonesian territory since February 20, 2024, heading for Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Malaysia.
The joint team of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police and the Jatranin Divhubinter Police has been cooperating with Interpol since March 5, 2026 in the context of the search operation for the whereabouts and arrest of Andre.
Finally, on Sunday (5/4) at 14.30, WS Interpol managed to arrest Andre when he was at the Crowne Plaza Penang Straits City, Penang, Malaysia.
At the time of arrest, Andre was with a woman of Kazakh nationality.
"Based on the results of the search, no passport documents belonging to the subject were found so that the subject could not be immediately repatriated or deported before the issuance of the Provisional Passport Travel Letter (SPLP) by the KJRI Penang," said Eko as quoted by Antara.
For this reason, on Monday (6/4), a team from the Narcotics Division of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police, led by Kombes Pol. Kevin Leleury as the Head of the NIC Task Force together with the personnel of the Jatranin Divhubinter Polri departed for Penang, Malaysia, in the process of returning Andre to Indonesia.
On the same day, Andre was successfully repatriated to Indonesia and immediately taken to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police for further investigation.
It is known that the Bareskrim Polri Narcotics Division has included Andre in the wanted person (DPO) list as of March 1, 2026.
He is a drug dealer who supplies drugs to the Koko Erwin syndicate, namely drug dealers in Bima, West Nusa Tenggara, and the drug syndicate at the White Rabbit (WR) nightclub in Jakarta.
He became a drug distributor to Indonesia through land and cargo routes and provided various types of drugs, such as methamphetamine, vape containing etomidate, and happy water.
