Wamena Regional Hospital ensures that it has a funeral delivery service

Wamena - The Regional General Hospital (RSUD) Wamena, Jayawijaya Regency, Papua Mountains, ensures that it has a delivery service program for the dead to help people who need this assistance.

Acting Head of the Wamena Regional Hospital, Dr. Charles C Ratulangi, in a statement in Wamena, Tuesday, said that the funeral car to transport the body was available to help people who needed help.

"Our funeral cars are able to travel on dirt roads, so they can be used to transport to areas outside the asphalt road," he said.

He explained that the use of funeral cars in the city was the same as ambulances that brought people home, for native Papuans or (OAP) for free.

"However, the use of a funeral car for use outside the city, but it is served but there is an additional cost according to the hospital tariff. This is done by taking into account the cost of fuel oil or (BBM)," he said.

He explained that for non-OAP people, they can also receive these services but there is a fee according to the hospital's tariff.

"We also serve the delivery of bodies for non-OAP people, but there is an additional fee according to the costs incurred by the hospital," he said.

He added that the current focus on the delivery of patients home was still the Wamena City area and the district was not too far from the local city because of fuel reasons that still needed to be evaluated again.

"It should be noted that the ambulance that is being transported is a vehicle that is only for asphalt roads, we do not have an ambulance for land or 4x4 (4WD) roads, so the ambulance that is there only transports to the limit of the asphalt road," he said.
