In his statement, the Director General of Digital Space Supervision at the Ministry of Komdigi, Alexander Sabar, said that Meta, which oversees Facebook, Instagram, and Threads, had undergone an inspection the day before.
Meanwhile, Google, which owns the YouTube service, is undergoing a follow-up examination which took place on Tuesday, April 7, from 10.00 WIB until this afternoon.
"There are 29 questions that we ask to investigate the alleged violation of the regulations that have been declared valid in Indonesia. So our focus is on Article 30 of the ministerial regulation on the implementation of the Tunas PP," Alex said in a press conference.
Furthermore, Alex also revealed that Meta had signed a report of the examination, while Google would also carry out a similar process.
"The result will be that we ask our colleagues to be patient, because we will investigate further, where Meta also promises to provide additional documents to complement what we did yesterday in the examination process," he added.
