Apple Promotes iOS 26 and macOS 26 Design with Liquid Glass Gallery

JAKARTA - Apple is still promoting its iOS 26 Liquid Glass design even though the operating system (OS) has been available since September 2025. The reason is, until now there are still many who are sticking to iOS 18.

One of the ways Apple has highlighted the aesthetic of the design is by updating the Liquid Glass Design Gallery. This gallery is a website that highlights various third-party applications that use Liquid Glass.

In other words, these applications have implemented a transparent design. The applications on display are not only applications designed for iPhone and iPad, but also applications developed for macOS 26.

On the page, Apple displays screenshots from various apps. That way, users can see how the Liquid Glass element creates a more natural navigation experience.

Several apps such as AllTrails, Carrot Weather, and Trello were selected to be displayed in the Liquid Glass Gallery. Apple praised the developer team for successfully adopting the design on elements such as the tab bar, navigation buttons, lower toolbar, and more.

In this Gallery update, Apple also focuses on the use of a pop-out menu and a separate search button that is characteristic of Liquid Glass. These elements are designed in harmony with Apple's built-in apps.

Although it has not been confirmed, a number of parties believe that this design will be maintained until the launch of iOS 27. Apple is rumored to be preparing a wider opacity control for the entire system so that users can adjust the display to their liking.
