Samsung One UI 8.5 for Galaxy S25 Released April 2026, Brings Advanced AI Features

JAKARTA - Samsung is reportedly about to release a major update to One UI 8.5 for the Samsung Galaxy S25 line in late April 2026. This update brings a series of the latest generation artificial intelligence (AI) features that were previously expected to be exclusive to the next series.

This information comes from technology tipster Tarun Vats, who mentioned that the rollout of the stable version will begin on April 30 in South Korea, before being expanded globally around May 4, 2026.

If this schedule is accurate, the update will be an important firmware milestone that bridges the Galaxy S25's capabilities with the next generation of flagships, including the Samsung Galaxy S26.

This move is also a response to user concerns. Previously, there was speculation that the latest AI feature would only be available in the S26 series. However, the pressure from the user community made Samsung change direction. The company's official moderator now confirms that the "advanced AI" package will be available across all S25 variants, including the S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra.

In terms of features, One UI 8.5 is expected to bring a number of significant improvements. One of the most highlighted is AI-Powered Call Screening, an intelligent communication feature that can filter calls automatically. In addition, there is also Creative Studio, an enhanced media editing platform for professional content needs.

Samsung is also said to be embedding Agentic AI technology - the latest trend in AI development that allows systems to act more independently - as well as improvements to Audio Eraser, a feature designed to remove noise from audio recordings more precisely.

If this update is realized according to schedule, Galaxy S25 users will get an experience that feels like a new device, just a few months after its initial launch.

Previously, Samsung had released the eighth beta version of One UI 8 for this series in March, indicating that the testing phase was nearing its final stage. The same source mentioned the possibility of the arrival of one or two additional beta builds before the official stable version is launched.
