Pramono ensures that ASN Viral replaces the vehicle license plate of the government vehicle into a personal vehicle to the peak has been reprimanded by BPAD

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung spoke out about the case of ASN who was caught replacing the license plate of the official vehicle into a white plate in Puncak area, Bogor. He emphasized that the action could not be tolerated even though the person concerned admitted that he was carrying out his duties.

This case was previously viral on social media, showing the DKI Provincial Government's official vehicle using a white plate with the excuse that it would not be conspicuous when it was outside the Jakarta area. Pramono said that the Regional Asset Management Agency (BPAD) had given a reprimand to the ASN concerned.

"It has been reprimanded by BPAD. So if in Jakarta that is like that, we don't give tolerance. If you really have to drive a service, then drive a service," said Pramono at the DKI Jakarta City Hall, Tuesday, April 7.

Pramono assessed that the use of plates that are not appropriate creates a bad impression, especially when it is known by the authorities in the field.

Meanwhile, the Secretary of the Regional Government (Sekda) of DKI Jakarta Uus Kuswanto explained, based on the BPAD report, the ASN was out of town in the context of content creation activities to promote assets owned by the DKI Provincial Government.

"The person concerned happened to be on vacation, carrying out content for Pak, content for activities to promote, coincidentally in DKI, has one of the assets in Cimacan, so when the content was carried out using a vehicle," said Uus.

However, the problem arises because the official vehicle is actually replaced with a white plate. Regarding the reason for replacing the plate, which is said to be inconspicuous, Uus said that it is still in the process of further deepening.

"The problem is that the vehicle's plate is changed to a white plate. That may be what is being investigated in relation to the period of reprimand delivered from BPAD," he said.

It is known that in the viral video, the official car allegedly belonging to the DKI Provincial Government was stopped by the police in the Puncak area, Bogor. In the recording, the vehicle was found to use a white license plate, not a red license plate as it should be for official vehicles.

Head of BPAD DKI Jakarta Faisal Syafruddin said his party immediately conducted an internal investigation after the video went viral on social media.

"We emphasize that the use of official vehicles must be in accordance with the provisions and provisions. The use of official vehicles for non-official purposes is not justified. Currently, we have conducted internal investigations and coordinated with the Inspectorate for further examination in accordance with applicable regulations," said Faisal in his statement.

This case is of concern because in the video, the driver admitted that the original license plate of the vehicle was red. He was then asked by the officer to replace the plate according to the provisions.

One of the passengers had an excuse that they had just attended office activities and changed the plate so that it was not conspicuous. However, the officer emphasized that the official vehicle must still use the red plate.

After the plate was replaced, the officer asked for the white plate that was used to secure it and reminded the driver not to repeat his actions. There was no fine in the incident.

BPAD said this incident would be the subject of internal evaluation, especially in the supervision of the use of regional assets.

"This incident is an evaluation for us to strengthen supervision and ensure that all employees are more disciplined and responsible in the use of official vehicles and other regional assets," said Faisal.
