Fuel Subsidies Will Not Increase Until the End of 2026, Minister of Finance Purbaya: State Budget Will Be Safeguarded

Jakarta - Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa said that subsidized fuel would not increase until the end of 2026.

This was conveyed in a press conference regarding the policy on subsidized fuel and air transportation in Jakarta, Monday, April 6. According to the Minister of Finance Purbaya, the fuel subsidy policy has been calculated carefully by considering various scenarios, including the assumption that the world oil price reaches USD 100 per barrel.

Minister of Finance Purbaya also conveyed that with this policy, the state budget deficit would remain maintained at around 2.9 percent.
