Solving Environmental Problems, Anies Baswedan Promotes Collaboration Program

JAKARTA – Protecting and preserving the environment in Jakarta cannot be handled alone. DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan stressed the need for collaboration and synergy from various parties.

According to Anies, environmental problems in the capital city must be resolved through collaboration. "Jakarta declares itself as a city of collaboration, one of the most basic aspects of our lives that must be solved collaboratively is environmental management," said Anies Baswedan at the commemoration of World Environment Day, in Jakarta, Saturday, June 5.

Anies Baswedan said that environmental problems cannot be solved only with government work programs, but must also involve the community to participate.

"Environmental management is a mandate that cannot be done programmatically but must be done with a movement approach," said Anies Baswedan.

Anies added that the community also needs to be invited so that they have the same responsibility in maintaining environmental sustainability in Jakarta. Moreover, according to him, Jakarta also has a lot of potential resources that can be used to collaborate in overcoming environmental problems. To solve problems in Jakarta, it is enough to use the hands of the government, so how much we lose because the potential to work together using all resources is reduced," explained Anies Baswedan as reported by Antara
