GAC Trumpchi T75 to Launch at Beijing Auto Show, Ready to Challenge BYD and GWM

JAKARTA - Guangzhou China-based automotive manufacturer GAC Trumpchi is preparing a new off-road SUV, interestingly the model comes with a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrain system.

Citing the Carnewschina website, Tuesday, April 7, the new car will debut at the Beijing exhibition later this month and is ready to be a strong challenger to models from GWM and BYD.

As is known, GAC Trumpchi is a passenger car brand launched in 2010. Its model line consists of gasoline-powered and plug-in hybrid cars in China.

Back to the new SUV from GAC, the latest GAC Trumpchi model is known by the code name T75. This car adopts a boxy body shape with relatively short overhangs, a flat roof line, large side mirrors, and semi-hidden door handles.

The full-size spare tire is located in the rear door that can be opened to the side. Other interesting features of the GAC T75 exterior include plastic trim around the wheel arches, black-colored rims, and large headlights.

The latest GAC off-road car had previously completed cold weather testing in Yakeshi, Inner Mongolia. This place is known as one of the coldest places in China, with temperatures dropping below -30 degrees Celsius.

Other details have not been revealed, but it is predicted that the GAC T75 will come with LiDAR supplied by Huawei. because GAC previously launched a new car brand called Aistaland together with the IT giant.
