Okin is said to have defaulted on child support for half a year to Rachel Vennya
JAKARTA - The controversy between celebrity Rachel Vennya and her ex-husband is slowly beginning to unfold. Rachel's party revealed that there were a number of financial obligations after the divorce that had not been completed by the ex-husband's party.
Rachel Vennya's lawyer, Sangun Ragahdo, explained that at the beginning of the divorce in March 2021, both parties had actually reached an agreement regarding the division of assets and mut'ah money.
"Then there was also an agreement that there was money in the mut'ah, which should have been Rachel's right as a wife at the time of divorce. There was a mut'ah agreed upon worth 1 billion rupiah," said Sangun Ragahdo.
In addition to the mut'ah money, the monthly allowance for their two children was also agreed upon. Sangun considered the figure to be very reasonable considering the lifestyle and education of Rachel's children.
"It was also agreed that the child's maintenance... was agreed for both children worth 50 million rupiah per month. Which is actually according to the agreement of the two of them and according to me too... it's a reasonable value," he continued.
Unfortunately, the agreement did not go smoothly. Sangun revealed that the obligation to provide child support was often stalled.
"It turns out that in 2021, in 2022, yes, we say, if the language is simple, the term is stagnant. The child's maintenance is not paid," said Sangun.
More specifically, Sangun said the arrears occurred for months, so Rachel had to dig into her personal pocket to ensure that her children's kitchen needs were met.
"As far as I remember, 2021 was 3 months, in 2022 it was no less than 6 months, almost half a year was stuck," he said.
Until the peak of the house dispute problem occurred recently, Rachel's right of Rp. 1 billion was claimed to have never been paid. "If we talk about mut'ah, yes, there is 1 billion. Even when the house was handed over, it had never been paid," concluded Sangun.
