US-Israel Attack 30 Campuses in Iran Since the Start of the War
JAKARTA - Iranian Minister of Science, Research, and Technology Hossein Simaei Sarraf said the United States and Israel had attacked 30 universities across Iran since the start of the conflict on February 28.
"The enemy has openly targeted universities and research. Our laboratories, classrooms, and student dormitories have been attacked. So far, 30 universities across the country have been attacked," he said, quoted by ANTARA from Sputnik, Monday, April 6.
He said the US and Israel were acting out of desperation after failing to achieve results in direct confrontation with the Iranian military.
On February 28, the US and Israel carried out a military aggression by attacking a number of targets in Iran, including the city of Tehran.
The aggression caused damage and civilian casualties. Iran responded to the aggression by attacking Israeli territory and US military facilities in the Middle East.
The US and Israel initially claimed the aggression was necessary to destroy Iran's nuclear program, but the pretext changed to a desire to change the ruling regime in Iran.
