Attacked by Iranian missiles, the USS Tripoli ship carrying 3,500 US Marines retreated to the Indian Ocean

JAKARTA - Iranian forces launched an attack on the US Navy amphibious assault ship USS Tripoli LHA-7.

Reuters reported that the IRGC Navy attack was launched against the USS Tripoli ship carrying about 3,500 marines.

The report, quoted by local media, said that as a result of the Iranian missile attack, the ship retreated to the southern Indian Ocean.

Separately, Iran's state-run television station, IRIB, reported that the attack took place on Monday, April 6 local time.

According to IRIB, the ship was carrying thousands of naval soldiers facing a wave of rapid missile launches from Iran.
