More And More, Ganjar Pranowo's Electability Outperforms Puan Maharani In The Latest Survey, It Turns Out That Prabowo Subianto Is In A Higher Position

JAKARTA – Electability competition continues to occur among political figures. A number of survey institutions also released the results of their work. It turns out that the electability of Ganjar Pranowo and Puan Maharani is still often juxtaposed to compete for tickets for the 2024 Presidential Election from the PDI-P. What is interesting is that Prabowo Subianto is in the highest position.

In the latest survey from Indonesian Political Parameters, Ganjar is in second place with an electability of 16.5 percent. Flanked by the General Chairperson of the Gerindra Party, Prabowo Subianto, who is in first place (18.3 percent), and the third place is the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan (15.1 percent).

Meanwhile, Puan is far below, almost bottom in 12th place with an electability rate of only 1.7 percent.

Although the electability trend of Ganjar and Puan both experienced a significant increase, however, Puan is still far from being left behind by Ganjar Pranowo. "Ganjar increased, 13.9 percent, up from 15.5 percent. Puan Maharani in February 2021 was only 0.8 percent. Last month, her electability rose to 1.7 percent," said Executive Director of Parameter Indonesia, Adi Prayitno in a webinar titled 'Political Map Towards 2024 and Recent Political Issues', Saturday, 5 June.

Adi assessed that the increase in electability of the two had something to do with the internal PDIP conflict after the party consolidation in Central Java some time ago. "Perhaps it cannot be separated from the political turmoil that recently occurred within the PDIP internally," he said.

Parameters of Indonesian Politics conducted a survey of a sample of 1,200 respondents. Taken by simple random sampling method (simple random sample) from 6,000 randomly selected HP numbers.

The survey's margin of error is +- 2.9 percent at the 95 percent confidence level. Data collection was carried out on 23-28 May 2021, using the telepolling method using a questionnaire conducted by trained surveyors.

However, there is still time for Puan Maharani to increase her electability. It is not impossible that he could overtake the positions of Ganjar Pranowo, Prabowo Subianto and other figures.
