Oppo Find X9s Pro Brings External Telephoto Lens, Professional Camera Feel Smartphone

JAKARTA - Oppo is making a splash in the flagship segment with a somewhat "out of the box" approach. Ahead of its official launch on April 21 in China, Oppo confirmed that the Find X9s Pro not only relies on the internal camera, but also supports an external telephoto lens accessory to improve zoom capabilities.

In the latest teaser, Oppo showcases this device paired with a silver telephoto lens resulting from a collaboration with Hasselblad. The lens comes with a full metal body and a rotating mounting mechanism, allowing users to mount it quickly and stably - similar to the experience of using a professional camera lens.

This accessory is specifically designed for long-distance photography needs such as sports and wildlife. With the support of Hasselblad's signature color tuning, Oppo claims that image quality remains consistent even when using additional lenses. Visually, the design is also made premium, even at first glance it looks more like a mirrorless camera lens than a regular smartphone accessory.

On the main hardware side, the Find X9s Pro is also no less ambitious. This device is expected to carry two 200MP resolution cameras - a combination of a main and telephoto sensor - which places it in the exclusive ranks of smartphones with a dual super high-resolution camera setup.

For the screen, Oppo is said to use a 6.32-inch flat panel with a resolution of 1.5K with a refresh rate of 144Hz and thin bezels. The new screen material is also rumored to be used to increase brightness and power efficiency.

In terms of performance, the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset is believed to be the main brain, combined with a large 7,025mAh battery. Support for 80W wired and 50W wireless fast charging is also prepared to maintain a balance between durability and recharge speed.

Other premium features such as an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and stereo speakers are also expected to be present, strengthening the position of this device as a compact flagship with serious specifications.

The Find X9s Pro will be introduced alongside other variants in this series, including the Find X9 Ultra which is planned for the global market. However, the X9s Pro itself is likely to only be available in China.
