Dikeroyok Warga Koja, Dua Pencuri Motor Kritis di Rumah Sakit

Two perpetrators of motorcycle theft carrying a weapon resembling a Baretta pistol are now in critical condition and are being treated at the Kramat Jati Police Hospital, East Jakarta, after being mobbed by the masses in Koja, North Jakarta.

"Both were surrounded by the crowd and were successfully secured by the Koja Police Opsnal team. They were then taken to the Polri Hospital for medical treatment," said Koja Police Chief, Kompol Andry Suharto, Monday (6/4/2026).

The two perpetrators are known as initials A (25) and RR (29), residents of Lagoa, Koja, North Jakarta. The incident occurred in Sawah Baru Village, Gang M No. 36, RT 06/09, Rawa Badak Utara Village, around 11.55 WIB.

The victim, FA (21), a woman, has reported the incident to the police.

"At first the victim was at home, then he heard the screams of the thief from the residents," said Andry.

The victim then chased after the residents until the two perpetrators were arrested.

Perpetrator A was arrested on Jalan Cibadak Raya, while perpetrator RR was arrested on Jalan Rawa Binangun.

Both of them were charged with Article 477 paragraph (1) letters f and g of the Criminal Code regarding theft of motor vehicles.

Previously, two perpetrators of motor vehicle theft (curanmor) who carried weapons were successfully caught by residents while acting on Jalan E1, North Rawa Badak, Koja District, North Jakarta.

The theft was recorded on a CCTV camera at the location. At that time, the two perpetrators were trying to steal a matic motorcycle.

Residents who knew about the incident immediately shouted at the perpetrator until a chase occurred. The two perpetrators were finally arrested in two different locations.

The angry residents immediately beat the perpetrators, one of whom suffered a wound in the face and was covered in blood. The perpetrators' hands were also tied and continued to be beaten.
