Two Motor Thieves Armed with a Knife in Belur, Koja, Jakut, are Robbed by Residents

Two perpetrators of motor vehicle theft (curanmor) who carried weapons were successfully caught by residents while acting on Jalan E1, North Rawa Badak, Koja District, North Jakarta.

The theft was recorded on a CCTV camera at the location. At that time, the two perpetrators were trying to steal a matic motorcycle.

Residents who knew about the incident immediately shouted at the perpetrator until a chase occurred. The two perpetrators were finally arrested in two different locations.

The angry residents immediately beat the perpetrators, one of whom suffered a wound in the face and was covered in blood. The perpetrators' hands were also tied and continued to be beaten.

"Both perpetrators admitted that they were residents of Koja. Here, motor theft often occurs," said Rian, a local resident, Monday (6/4/2026).

Other perpetrators were also arrested after being chased by residents and also became the target of the mob.

"The incident happened during the day when the condition was crowded. The perpetrator was chased and arrested," he added.

The two perpetrators were then secured and taken to the Koja Police to undergo further investigation. The head of the Koja Police, Kompol Andry, has not given any information when confirmed.
