Staff Salary Not Paid, Lee Seung Gi Choose to Leave Big Planet Made
JAKARTA - Singer and actor Lee Seung Gi chose to end his contract with his agency, Big Planet Made. He added to the list of artists who filed for termination of their contracts with the agency.
Monday, April 6, Lee Seung Gi's representative confirmed that the contract termination had been filed since the end of March. One of the reasons written was the payment of staff salaries that had not been made even though the staff continued to work.
In addition to staff salaries, some of Lee Seung Gi's wages have also not been paid. In order to avoid similar problems in the future, he chose to terminate the contract.
"We try to maintain trust regardless of various issues at the agency and some issues that have not been paid, but problems continue to arise in entertainment activities and paying staff and outsiders," Lee Seung Gi's side said, quoting Chosun.
"We chose to terminate the contract to avoid a situation where staff working did not receive payment," he explained.
On the same day, Big Planet Made did not confirm the termination, but they explained that they were trying to take care of the issue that was developing.
"We are doing our best to restore business operations as soon as possible and we continue to consult so that related issues can be resolved," said Big Planet Made's agency.
Big Planet Made is one of the labels under One Hundred. Before Lee Seung Gi, several artists such as Taemin, THE BOYZ, B.O., Lee Mu Jin, and VIVIZ also filed for contract termination with the agency.
The agency responded to the news by saying, "We are doing our best to ensure the artist's activities run normally."
On the other hand, Lee Seung Gi is looking forward to the birth of his second child with actress Lee Da In.
