Message from the Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Armed Forces to the Families of TNI Soldiers in UNIFIL: They Know What to Do

Tangerang - The Chief of Staff of the Army (KSAD) General TNI Maruli Simanjuntak mourned the deaths of three TNI soldiers who were part of the United Nations Peacekeeping Force (UNIFIL) in Lebanon.

According to Maruli, the soldiers who died were the chosen figures who had gone through a rigorous selection process before being sent on the international mission. This was conveyed by Maruli in the 3 Honor of the TNI Soldier's Body at Soekarno Hatta Airport, Tangerang, Saturday, April 4.

According to him, in every foreign assignment, including in conflict areas such as Lebanon, soldiers have been equipped with strict standard operating procedures (SOP), including self-protection measures in emergency situations.

Maruli also ensured that an investigation would be carried out to reveal the chronology of events that led to the deaths of the three soldiers.

In the midst of grief, the KSAD also conveyed a message to the families of soldiers who are still serving in the mission area to remain calm and not be overwhelmed by concerns.
