BPJS Employment invites workers to take advantage of the 50 percent reduction in JKK and JKM contributions

JAKARTA - Director of BPJS Employment Participation, Agung Nugroho, encourages informal workers or Non-Wage Recipients (BPU) to take advantage of the 50 percent premium relief for the Occupational Accident Insurance (JKK) and Death Insurance (JKM) programs which are valid until December 2026.

Agung explained that this program is part of President Prabowo's Asta Cita, especially in strengthening Human Resources Development (SDM) by maintaining the purchasing power and welfare level of workers, as well as accelerating inclusive and sustainable economies, through participation in employment social security for BPU workers.

This step is in line with the focus of BPJS Employment in expanding coverage (Coverage), ensuring comprehensive protection (Care), and strengthening public confidence (Credibility) in the employment social security program.

"This is proof that the state is very concerned about the protection of all Indonesian workers, especially those in the informal sector. Let's take advantage of this opportunity so that no worker is left behind and works without protection," said Agung, in his statement, Saturday, April 4.

This reduction in premiums applies to all BPU workers who apply to become BPJS Employment participants independently, both new participants and active participants who have been registered. Workers only pay Rp. 8,400 / month during the period April to December 2026. Thus, for workers who want to take advantage of the premium reduction for 9 months (April-December), they only pay a premium of Rp. 75,600.

Agung ensured that there was no reduction in the quality of services provided by BPJS Employment to participants. The benefits received remain intact, including a maximum of 70 million for work accidents, treatment due to work accidents without unlimited costs according to medical needs, a maximum of 42 million for death benefits, up to education scholarships for 2 children a maximum of 174 million.

Registration and payment of BPJS Employment contributions are now also easier, can be done through various channels including the JMO (Jamsostek Mobile) application, the official BPJS Employment website, and various payment partners such as Indomaret, Alfamart, Post Office, banking agents, e-commerce, digital wallets, and other payment channels that have cooperated.

"We continue to be committed to providing employment social security protection for all Indonesian workers. This protection is important so that workers can work safely, productively, and prosper, so that they can contribute to realizing Indonesia's Gold 2045," concluded Agung.

In line with this, the Head of the Jakarta Plaza BPJS Manpower Branch Office, BPJamsostek, Ramdani emphasized the importance of collaboration between all parties to ensure that information on fee reductions reaches the lowest level of society. His party is committed to continuing to carry out massive socialization so that independent workers in his area are immediately protected.

"We invite traders, online motorcycle drivers, to UMKM actors to immediately register. This 50 percent reduction in membership fees is a big momentum for informal workers to have a definite social safety net. We at the branch office are ready to provide the best service and easy access for all prospective participants who want to join," said Ramdani.
