Pramono Anung is Called Alternative Vice President 2029

JAKARTA - ABC Research & Consulting executive director, Erizal, assessed that the Governor of DKI Jakarta Pramono Anung could become an alternative vice presidential candidate (cawapres) for Prabowo Subianto in the 2029 presidential election (Pilpres).

According to him, Pramono's figure could be considered by Prabowo if the Chairman of the Gerindra Party did not choose to pair up with Gibran Rakabuming Raka or Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono in 2029.

"If Prabowo 'wishes' to choose Gibran or AHY, PDI Perjuangan figures such as Pramono can be an alternative. Prabowo and Pramono I think are relatively suitable and easier to listen to as well," said Erizal, Sunday, April 5.

He explained, just like Prabowo, Pramono Anung is a figure that can be accepted by all circles.

Because, when Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono was in power, Pramono was the link between Megawati Soekarnoputri and SBY.

Likewise, during the era of Joko Widodo, where Pramono was close to or trusted Jokowi.

"Pramono can be accepted by SBY and Jokowi, and of course accepted by Megawati as the head of the party. In fact, I think, in the current government, Pramono is one of the links between Prabowo and Megawati," said Erizal.

In addition, the pair of Prabowo and Pramono can complement each other, because both are a combination of maturity and wisdom, firmness and gentleness, and calculation and progressiveness.

"The most important thing for me is that Pramono's figure is not ambitious, knows his position and is good at putting himself. Pramono has proven to be a person in front and behind. In front and behind, it does not reduce his productivity as a leader. He is not fond of image either," he continued.

He added that if the duet of Prabowo and Pramono is realized, then the PDIP and Gerindra coalition has described one-third of the political power in Indonesia.

Moreover, if it is added to other political parties such as the Golkar Party and PAN, it will further complement the political strength of the coalition.

"Prabowo-Pramono can even escort the succession of leadership in 2034. So, it's not just 2029," said Erizal.
