Mother in Koja Stopped by Debt Collector While Taking Her Child to School, Accused of 2 Years of Motorcycle Installment Arrears

JAKARTA - A group of debt collectors again seized a motorcycle belonging to a mother with the initials R from Koja.

Worse, the act of appropriation occurred at a kindergarten school located on Jalan Bima, near Gate 3, South Rawa Badak Village, Koja District, North Jakarta.

"The motorcycle was used by R to take his child to school. Then a man allegedly came to the debt collector and forced him to take it at the crime scene," said Koja Police Chief, Kompol Andry Suharto when confirmed, Sunday, April 5, 2026.

The incident was a dispute between the owner of the motorcycle and the debt collectors.

Then the victim reported to the police through the 110 service.

"After receiving the report, the members immediately checked the crime scene and met with R (the reporter)," he said.

The police then mediated between the victim and the debt collectors who were going to seize the motorcycle.

"The result of the check is that the motorcycle has a 2-year arrears. Then a mediation is carried out between the debtor and the parties concerned. The mediation is accompanied by Bhabinkamtibmas South Rawabadak," he said.

Meanwhile, his case is still being handled by the Koja Police for further processing.
