Condolences Three TNI Soldiers Killed in Lebanon, Mass Attack on the US Embassy
JAKARTA - Thousands of residents held an action in front of the United States Embassy to Indonesia, Central Jakarta, Sunday, April 5 morning, as condolences to three TNI personnel who died in South Lebanon while carrying out a UN peacekeeping mission.
The action period initiated by the Islamic Organism Assembly (MOI) was crowded with the area of South Merdeka Street in the west.
The crowd even went to the Monas gate near Gambir Station. Some of them were seen carrying babies and small children in the action.
The mass action entitled "Millions of Prayers for Syuhuda" wore clothes in the form of gamis, mostly white with Indonesian and Palestinian attributes.
Across from the US Embassy, right next to the concrete barricade, an oration stage stands about two meters high.
On the stage background, there is a picture of the three fallen TNI soldiers.
The three soldiers who died in the mission, namely Major Inf (Anumerta) Zulmi Aditya Iskandar, Serka (Anumerta) M. Nur Ichwan, and Kopda (Anumerta) Farizal Rhomadhon are part of the Indonesian peacekeepers who serve under the UNIFIL (United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon) flag.
In addition to the joint prayer for the three soldiers, the action also voiced a number of issues, including Palestinian independence.
The action time did not miss singing along with songs related to the action title.
During the song, Palestinian flags were raised by the action mass.
Until 08.45 WIB, the mass action continued to arrive. Some of them only moved for a short time to find food, then rejoined the other mass action.
