Light Rain to Lightning Predicted to Flood Jakarta This Afternoon

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that the DKI Jakarta Province will experience light to moderate rain on Sunday afternoon.

Based on information uploaded through the official BMKG Instagram account on Saturday (4/4), West Jakarta and Central Jakarta are predicted to be hit by light rain around 13.00 WIB, then increase to moderate intensity rain at 16.00 WIB.

Meanwhile, South Jakarta and East Jakarta have the potential to experience moderate rain at 13.00 WIB, which can then be accompanied by lightning in the afternoon around 16.00 WIB. For North Jakarta, light rain is expected to fall in the afternoon and evening.

Meanwhile, in the morning and evening, all areas of Jakarta, including West Jakarta, Central Jakarta, South Jakarta, East Jakarta, and North Jakarta are predicted to be in thick clouds.

On the other hand, the Thousand Islands area is expected to experience light rain to rain accompanied by lightning throughout the day, from morning to evening.
