The body of the TNI Soldier who died in Lebanon arrived in Magelang

MAGELANG - The body of Serka Anumerta Muhammad Nur Ichwan, a TNI soldier who died while on duty as a member of the peacekeeping force in Lebanon, has arrived at the funeral home in Deyangan Village, Mertoyudan District, Magelang Regency, Central Java Province, on Saturday (4/4) evening.

The Commander of the IX/Udayana Military Regional Command, Major General TNI Piek Budyaktomeny, expressed condolences for the death of Sergeant Major (Serka) Anumerta Muhammad Nur Ichwan, a member of the Garuda Contingent in the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).

"On behalf of the Kodam IX/Udayana family, we join in the deep mourning for the death of our brother, Sergeant Chief M. Nur Ichwan," he said as quoted by Antara.

He said that the ceremony of honor for the late Head Sergeant M. Nur Ichwante was held at the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang, Banten, on Saturday (4/4) afternoon.

The remains of Serka Anumerta Muhammad Nur Ichwankemudian were flown to the Adisutjipto Air Force Base, Yogyakarta and handed over to the family.

Major General TNI Piek Budyaktomeny menyampaikan bahwa Komando Daerah Militer membantu proses pemulangan jenazah Serka Anumerta Muhammad Nur Ichwansampai ke rumah duka di Magelang.

The funeral ceremony for the deceased SerkaAnumerta Muhammad ​​​​​​​Nur Ichwan is planned to be held at 08.00 WIB, before the body is transported to the Giri Dharmaloyodi Heroes Cemetery in Magelang.

"The funeral is scheduled to take place at 09.00 WIB and will be led directly by the Deputy Commander of the TNI as the inspector of the ceremony," said Major General TNI Piek Budyakto.
