History Of Disease Former TNI Commander Djoko Santoso, Who Died This Morning
JAKARTA - Sad news. Former TNI Commander Gen. Purnawirawan Djoko Santoso has died. Djoko died from a broken blood vessel in his brain, Sunday, May 10.
Based on his medical records, before he breathed his last, Djoko underwent treatment for a week at the Gatot Subroto Central Army Hospital (RSPAD), Jakarta. The stroke he suffered from recurred.
Deputy Head of the Central Army Hospital (RSPAD) Gatot Subroto, Brigadier General Budi Sulistya, said that previously Djoko Santoso had a stroke about five years ago. However, after being declared cured and able to return to activities, the disease struck again.
"He had a stroke in 2015 and was treated at the Gatot Subroto Army Hospital and was completely healed. This is the second stroke," Budi told VOI, Sunday, May 10.
For a week, starting from Saturday, May 2, Djoko was lying and undergoing treatment at the CICU (Cerebrovascular Intensive Care Unit) until he finally breathed his last. "(Cause) Because of illness, not because of COVID-19. Rupture of blood vessels in the brain," said Budi.
According to the plan, Djoko's body will first be brought to the funeral home in the Bambu Apus area, East Jakarta. Then, it was buried at the San Diego Hills cemetery, Karawang, West Java.
Djoko Santoso left a wife, namely Angky Retno Yudianti and two children, namely Andika Pandu Puragabaya and Ardhya Pratiwi Setiowati. The figure of Djoko Santoso himself was known as the TNI Commander from December 28, 2007 to September 28, 2010 or to be precise during the presidency of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.
Then, Djoko Santoso retired from the military and continued his career in politics by joining the Gerindra Party in 2015. In that party, he served as the Board of Trustees. In the 2019 Presidential Election, Djoko Santoso was asked to become Chairman of the Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Uno National Winning Body.
