Menari dengan Bayangan Hindia Album Bakal Diadaptasi ke Layar Lebar

JAKARTA - Baskara Putra took a different step in his creative journey. He announced the adaptation of the debut studio album from the Hindia project, "Menari dengan Bayangan" into a feature film.

Baskara who acted as executive producer in the film's production was enthusiastic about this announcement.

"A new journey for 'Dancing with Shadows' which will be presented in a new medium with Palari Films," said Baskara, quoted by ANTARA, April 3.

Baskara's album was first released in 2019 with popular songs such as "Rumah ke Rumah".

Director Edwin will make the film under the banner of the Palari Films production house.

Edwin previously directed the film "Posesif" (2017) starring Adipati Dolken and Princess Marino, and also founded Palari Films with producers Meiske Taurisia and Muhammad Zaidy.

The winner of the 2017 Indonesian Film Festival Citra Award for Best Director projected that Palari Films would produce 10 works over 10 years: both films, series, and short film anthologies, which every year always find a place in Indonesian audiences, the FFI award event, and in the world.

Among them, "Aruna and Her Tongue" (2018), a film directed by Edwin, received critical recognition by winning the 2018 FFI Citra Cup for Best Adapted Screenplay (Titien Wattimena) and Best Supporting Actor (Nicholas Saputra).

The film was also screened at the 2019 Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale) in the Culinary Cinema program.

One of the most prestigious achievements Palari Films has ever achieved is through their third work which was also directed by Edwin, "Like Revenge, Rindu Harus Dibayar Tuntas" (2021).

The film won the main award "Golden Leopard" at the international film festival, which is also one of the oldest film festivals in the world, Locarno in Switzerland.

The film has also toured other international film festivals, including the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) and the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF).
