Iran Shoots Down Second US F-35 Fighter Jet

JAKARTA - The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claims to have shot down a US F-35 fighter jet while flying over central Iran.

According to Al Jazeera, Friday, April 3, this information was conveyed through a post on the Fars news agency's Telegram channel which reported that the jet was "completely destroyed and fell".

However, there was no further information about the condition of the pilot of the fighter jet that was severely damaged.

The Mehr News Agency said it was unlikely the pilot managed to eject because of the "massive explosion" caused by the crash.

The US Central Command did not immediately respond to the post. Previously, when the first fighter jet was eliminated by Iran, the US Central Command denied it.
