President Prabowo's instructions in the Sulut-Malut Earthquake, Prioritize Fast Services and Rescue of Citizens

Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto asked all parties to respond quickly to the 7.6 magnitude earthquake disaster that shook North Sulawesi and North Maluku.

President Prabowo emphasized that fast service and the rescue of residents were the top priority. This was conveyed by Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (Menko PMK) Pratikno at a press conference, Thursday, April 2.

Pratikno on that occasion also emphasized the importance of data collection on victims and infrastructure affected by disasters. He said information was crucial in post-disaster handling so that evacuations could be carried out quickly and assistance distributed accurately.

Furthermore, said Pratikno, the rehabilitation and reconstruction process must be carried out carefully according to the procedures that have been established. Pratikno also reminded that disaster events could be a momentum to educate the public about disaster risk in the future.
