Jakarta Cathedral Prepares 5,000 Seats for Holy Tri-Day Easter Commemoration
JAKARTA - The Jakarta Cathedral Church has prepared around 5,000 seats for people who will attend the series of Holy Triduum Easter celebrations.
"We provide this complex with various rooms that exist and also tents that we have prepared. We have a capacity of 5,000 available seats," said Jakarta Cathedral Church Public Relations Susyana Suwadie, reported by ANTARA, Thursday, April 2.
Susyana said that the capacity in the main church building was provided for about 800 seats, so his party still implemented a registration system to regulate the number of attendees.
Then, the outdoor area is Plaza Maria and Gua Maria 500 seats, 3,000 tents, Grha Pemuda on the 1st and 4th floors with a total of 800 seats, so that in total there are approximately 5,000 seats. Including reserve seats are prepared.
According to him, the registration system has been implemented for the past few years, but there is no rush considering the high enthusiasm, while the capacity of the main church space is limited.
Susyana explained that this year's Easter theme is Concern for the Integrity of the Creation.
The Holy Thursday Mass was held three times, namely at 16.30 WIB, led by Father Yohanes Doedatus, Mass II (Hybrid) at 19.00 WIB by Father Yusup Edi Muljono, and Mass III at 21.00 WIB by Father Macarius Maharsono Probho.
The Good Friday service began with the Creative Cross Walk at 08.30 WIB, the first service at 12.00 WIB, the second service (Hybrid) at 15.00 WIB, the third service at 18.00 WIB.
The Easter Night Mass (Tirakatan Kebangkitan Tuhan), Saturday, took place at 17.00 WIB which was led by Romo Macarius Maharsono Probho and at 21.00 WIB led by Romo Yohanes Deodatus.
The Easter Mass, Sunday, began with the Pontifical Easter Mass (Hybrid) at 08.30 WIB led by Cardinal Ignatius Suharyo, Morning Easter Mass - Family Mass at 11.00 WIB led by Father Yohanes Deodatus, and Afternoon Easter Mass (Hybrid) at 17.00 WIB led by Father Macarius Maharsono Probho.
