Encourage Stock Investment, KISI Targets Increased Capital Market Transactions through the Margin Account Program
JAKARTA - PT Korea Investment and Sekuritas Indonesia (KISI) officially launched the latest promotional program for Margin Account services with various attractive offers for investors.
KISI President Director Kyoung Hun Nam explained that this program aims to provide flexibility in funding while increasing the efficiency of transaction costs for customers who want to maximize investment strategies in the stock market.
He explained that in the offer, KISI presents a competitive margin interest rate, where customers can enjoy a special interest of 3 percent per year for the first 30 days.
After the promotional period ends, the interest will be adjusted to 8.8 percent per year, so that it still provides a relatively affordable financing option compared to conventional schemes.
To access this margin facility, customers only need to meet the minimum initial deposit of IDR 50 million, in the form of cash funds or shares that have been adjusted to the company's assessment policy (haircut).
In addition, KISI also provides incentives in the form of exemption from share transfer fees up to 25 ticker, including all C-BEST fees on the sender and recipient sides.
If the number of tickers exceeds the limit, additional fees will be borne by the customer.
Meanwhile, in terms of financing, the company has set a maximum loan limit of up to IDR 25 billion per account, giving flexibility to investors who need greater leverage.
"This program also accommodates customers who want to take over margin facilities from other securities," he said in a statement, Thursday, April 2.
However, he explained that there were several requirements, including completing the necessary documents, maintaining the post-transfer margin ratio at 50 percent, and obtaining approval from the KISI management.
The promo program is valid for new and old customers, while for new customers it is required to include an active Statement of Account (SoA) from the previous broker for the last six months, while old customers who do not have a margin facility can also participate.
For information, the registration program is open throughout April 1-30, 2026, with the promo period taking place on May 1-31, 2026.
"Through the launch of this program, KISI hopes to expand investors' access to competitive, transparent, and easily accessible margin facilities, as well as encourage the growth of transaction activities in the Indonesian capital market," he concluded.
