France insists US-Israeli war vs Iran is not a solution to nuclear problem
JAKARTA - French President Emmanuel Macron said the US-Israeli war against Iran would not provide a long-term solution to the nuclear weapons issue.
"Military action, even for a few weeks, would not allow us to solve the nuclear problem in the long term," Macron told reporters in South Korea on Thursday, April 1, quoted by the Telegraph.
Macron urged negotiations between the parties to the conflict in the Middle East war given the impact of the war had shaken the world economy due to the disruption of crude oil and gas supplies from the Gulf.
"If there is no framework for diplomatic and technical negotiations, the situation could deteriorate again in a few months or a few years," he continued.
France is one of the US allies and NATO members who refuse to participate in the US-Israeli war against Iran.
