Through the film "Warung Pocong", Fajar Nugra is becoming an actor and comedian

JAKARTA - Fajar Nugra is the main actor in the first film by director Bendolt, Warung Pocong. Through this film, he admitted that he showed his acting side balanced with comedy which is his field.

Fajar Nugra plays the role of Kartono, a young sandwich generation who inherited a debt from his father, but on the other hand he has the responsibility to support his mother and siblings.

"Regarding the comedy portion, we actually don't know what the portion is like. But when you watch it, "Oh okay, it turns out that the director wants this". So when reading, we discussed the comedy, it's nice to be funny. Again, there is a comedy consultant and we have to follow the director (Mr. Bedlot) because he has a different treatment," explained Fajar Nugra at VOI's office on Thursday, April 2.

Acting alongside senior actors, Fajar Nugra feels proud to be able to learn from the actors, one of whom is Shareefa Danish.

"The learning point is not specific to the horror, but the acting. Like Daanish's sister once said about inner monologue, how does it come out naturally and the expression is conveyed to the audience. That's what I learned," he said again.

"Besides Kak Daanish, there is Mas Wika, Mas Kiki, Mas Wani, Arla, so I "steal" all the knowledge," continued Fajar Nugra.

Warung Pocong has a number of scenes that are not only gripping, but also full of laughter. Fajar himself has a memorable scene that the audience must look forward to.

"The memorable scene was brought home after watching. The scene is related to the cow, but it turns out to be a slide to the scene where the clue is after eating, the meal is not finished but has been asked to drink. Even at home, I keep wondering how it is, "said Fajar Nugra.

Warung Pocong tells the story of three young people who have economic needs, accept an offer to guard a warung in the middle of the forest. The journey becomes terrifying after they experience various mysterious situations.

Meanwhile, Warung Pocong will be shown in Indonesian cinemas starting April 9, 2026.
