OJK, BEI and KSEI Will Open Data on High Shareholding Concentration

JAKARTA - The Financial Services Authority (OJK) together with the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) and the Central Securities Depository of Indonesia (KSEI) officially opened information related to high shareholding concentration, which is a condition where the ownership of shares of an issuer is concentrated on a few parties or parties that are affiliated with each other.

The Head of the Capital Market, Derivatives Finance, and Carbon Exchange Supervisory Authority of the OJK, Hasan Fawzi, said that the publication of the data will be carried out after the closing of trading today, Thursday, April 2, 2026.

In addition, he ensured that this step would not interfere with the trading mechanism in the market.

"For the mechanism of high shareholding concentration, today the plan will also begin to be made public. So we decided of course without disturbing the market mechanism immediately after closing trading hours today," said Hasan in a press conference.

Hasan explained that this openness of information can serve as an early warning for investors in making investment decisions.

"This will be a kind of important additional information, which can be used as an early warning for investors to make decisions," he said.

However, he emphasized that this condition was not a form of violation.

"So this is not because of a certain violation but will open information for a list of stocks that have indeed been confirmed to have a high concentration or limited ownership owned by only a few parties," he said.

Furthermore, Hasan said that OJK together with the Self-Regulatory Organization will continue to carry out socialization as part of efforts to increase information openness.

In addition, he added that his party would also continue the dialogue with global index providers to obtain input regarding market transparency.

"We will continue to ensure that a series of follow-up meetings with global index providers will be held and we will proactively seek input and views from investors regarding the level of transparency that we have presented," he concluded.
