Genesis Unveils the 2027 GV70 Prestige Graphite at the New York Auto Show

JAKARTA - The South Korean luxury vehicle line, Genesis, has officially expanded the exclusive "Prestige Graphite" variant to their best-selling SUV model, the GV70, for the 2027 model year.

The debut of this performance-focused variant was made at the New York International Auto Show on April 1, 2026.

The public can see the Genesis GV70 Prestige Graphite 2027 unit in person at the New York International Auto Show, which runs from April 3 to April 12, 2026. Until now, Genesis has not released official price details for the global market.

Launching Thekoreancarblog, Thursday, April 2, this line expansion was carried out following the success of a similar trim on the G70 sports sedan. The Genesis GV70 Prestige Graphite 2027 is designed to provide a more aggressive and athletic look through a series of visual updates on the exterior and interior sides.

On the exterior, this variant emphasizes a dark and bold impression with the use of 21-inch dark metallic glossy alloy wheels. The performance character is further emphasized by the presence of contrasting red brake calipers. In addition, gloss black ornaments are embedded on the mirrors and body accents, while dark chrome is used to refine the typical GV70 silhouette.

Genesis Motor North America Chief Operating Officer Tedros Mengiste said that this trim is aimed at consumers who want a strong visual impression.

"The Prestige Graphite variant strengthens the confident character of the GV70, making it the ideal choice for those who want to stand out on the road," said Mengiste.

Entering the cabin, Genesis presents a luxurious and technical feel. Ultramarine Nappa leather material with suede inserts dominates the seats, complete with the Genesis logo embossed on the headrest. Instead of traditional wood panels, this variant uses genuine carbon fiber decoration (carbon fiber) to create a modern cockpit feel.

Genesis also introduced two new exterior color options, namely Ceres Blue Matte and Bering Blue, complementing classic color options such as Makalu Gray and Uyuni White. In terms of technology, drivers will be greeted with a special startup animation on the digital screen when entering the vehicle.
