DKI Prediksi Pendatang ke Jakarta Usai Lebaran 2026 Turun Dibanding Tahun Lalu
JAKARTA - The Jakarta Provincial Population and Civil Registration Office (Disdukcapil) recorded that the number of new arrivals to the capital after Lebaran 1447 Hijriah did not experience a significant spike. In the period 25-31 March 2026, the number of arrivals was recorded at 1,335 people.
Head of the DKI Jakarta Disdukcapil Denny Wahyu Haryanto said that the figure continued the downward trend that had occurred in recent years. The phenomenon of reduced urbanisation flow after Lebaran is not a new thing, but a pattern that continues to recur.
"It will happen again, the trend of declining new arrivals in 2026 in Jakarta, like the last three years," Denny told reporters, Thursday, April 2.
Based on data from the District Office, the composition of the migrants is relatively balanced. Of the total 1,335 people, 677 are men, while the other 658 are women.
Even so, the figure is still temporary. Disdukcapil will continue to conduct data collection until the end of April 2026 to ensure the actual number of migrants who enter Jakarta after the Lebaran homecoming period.
"Starting from April 1-29, the Dukcapil ranks will carry out the activity of picking up the adminduk service ball in several RW, in cooperation with sub-districts and villages as well as RT/RW managers," he said.
This ball pick-up step is carried out to ensure that immigrants are administratively recorded, as well as to facilitate the management of population documents.
In terms of trends, the number of immigrants to Jakarta has indeed shown a decline in recent years. In 2021, the number of immigrants was recorded at 20,046 people, then increased to 27,478 people in 2022.
However, after that, the number began to decrease. In 2023, the number of immigrants was recorded at 25,918 people, then decreased significantly to 16,207 people in 2024, and again decreased to 16,049 people in 2025.
This decline indicates a decrease in the attractiveness of urbanization to Jakarta, or the beginning of the saturation of economic opportunities in the region.
