DKI Provincial Government Picks up Data of Pascalebaran Arrivals, Services Open until April 20
JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has begun to conduct administrative data collection for new arrivals in 2026. This effort is carried out to ensure that citizen data remains accurate in the midst of a potential surge in urbanization.
Head of the DKI Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Office (Disdukcapil) Denny Wahyu Haryanto said that his party would hold a pick-up service directly to the neighborhood.
"Starting from April 1 to April 20, 2026, the Disdukcapil together with the ranks of the City/District Sub-Directorate, the Dukcapil Sector of the Sub-District and the Dukcapil Satpel of the Kelurahan will carry out socialization and Adminduk Service to Pick up the Ball to the RW Post," Denny told reporters, Thursday, April 2.
This service is carried out in collaboration with the city/district government, sub-district, to the village. This approach is chosen so that new arrivals can immediately take care of population documents without having to come to the service office.
Denny emphasized that Jakarta is still open to immigrants who want to find a living or contribute to building the city. However, he reminded the importance of being prepared before deciding to come to the capital.
"As a global city and the center of the national economy, Jakarta is open to immigrants who have good intentions to help build Jakarta," he said.
Denny also gave a number of notes for newcomers so that they can adapt and not cause new problems later.
Migrants are urged to have skills that can support their lives in Jakarta. Then, have a guarantee of a clear address of residence in Jakarta, whether it is the address of relatives, family or rent or contract.
"Also report his arrival to the local RT RW 1x24 hours," said Denny.
