Learning Activities for SD-SMA Students Still Face to Face

Seoul, South Korea - The government has confirmed that there is no online or distance learning (KBM) scheme for elementary, middle, and high school students. All levels of schools continue to carry out face-to-face KBM for five days a week.

This was conveyed by Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto in a press statement, Tuesday, March 31.

In addition, continued Airlangga, there are no restrictions on sports activities, both in relation to races and other extracurricular activities. Meanwhile, for students of higher education semester 4 and above, class activities are adjusted to the circular issued by the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Mendiktisaintek).

The policy of work culture transformation and energy conservation is implemented for both private sector and State Civil Apparatus (ASN) workers. The government officially stipulates a work from home (WFH) rule for ASN for one day a week starting April 1, 2026.

The government also appeals to private companies to implement this policy for employees in order to save energy.
