PLBN Motaain Holds Cheap Market and Samsat Tour, Meets the Needs of Border Communities
Motaain - The National Border Management Agency (BNPP) RI-managed Motaain National Border Crossing Post (PLBN) held a Cheap Market Operation and Samsat Tour service to support the stability of basic necessities prices while facilitating public service access for border communities in Belu Regency, Tuesday, March 31, 2026.
This activity has received enthusiastic response since morning and has become a tangible manifestation of the state's presence on the front porch.
In the Cheap Market Operation in collaboration with the Belu Regency Agriculture and Food Security Office, PLBN Motaain distributed 5-kilogram packaged Food Supply and Price Stabilization (SPHP) rice at an affordable price of Rp. 60,000 per sack.
The total rice distributed reached 5 tons or equivalent to 1,000 sacks and all of them were sold out to the public.
In addition to meeting food needs, PLBN Motaain also provides Samsat Keliling services as a result of collaboration with the Belu Regency Samsat UPTD.
This service includes paying annual motor vehicle taxes, renewing STNK, handling vehicle name changes, to motor vehicle administration consultations.
According to residents, the presence of the integrated service is considered effective in reducing the distance and travel time of border communities to access public services.
From the results of the Mobile Samsat service, it was recorded that the receipt of Motor Vehicle Tax (PKB) amounted to Rp. 4,176,086 which came from the payment of 1 unit motorcycle, 1 unit four-wheeled vehicle type pick up, and 1 unit minibus vehicle.
The head of the Motaain PLBN, Maria Fatima Rika, emphasized that this activity was designed to answer the real needs of the border community through cross-sector synergy.
"The activities of the Cheap Market Operation and Samsat Tour are concrete forms of the state's presence in border areas. We want to ensure that people get basic necessities at affordable prices and fast, easy, and close vehicle administration services," said Maria, in a statement received by VOI, Wednesday, April 1, 2026.
He added that inter-agency collaboration would continue to be strengthened so that public services at the border would be more inclusive and sustainable.
According to him, this pick-up ball service approach is effective in increasing access and public confidence in government services.
