Bekasi Retail Gasoline Seller Accused of Fuel Hoarding, Police: Misunderstanding

JAKARTA - A number of people stormed the Bungin Branch Mapolsek, Bekasi Regency, West Java. They asked the police to take action against people who filled fuel (BBM) at the Lenggah Jaya Village SPBU, Bekasi Regency because it was not in accordance with the provisions.

"The group suspects that there are people who fill up fuel at gas stations in an unnatural way. They are afraid to buy fuel," said the head of the Cabang Bungin Police, AKP Alex Chandra, when confirmed, Wednesday, April 1, 2026.

However, after being checked by members of the Bungin Branch Police, the accusation was not found by investigators.

"It's a retail gasoline trader. Currently the problem has been resolved, it's just a misunderstanding," he said.

The police chief said a group of people who came to his office to ask his party to take action against the suspect, but it was not proven.

However, the case is still being handled by the Bungin Branch Police, Bekasi Regency.
