Outrageous! Youth In Sarolangun Jambi Tega Persecuted His Grandmother With An Iron Broomstick
JAKARTA - A young man named Toga Wilson Hutagalung has the heart to abuse his own grandmother using an iron broom handle. The young man from Pauh, Sarolangun, Jambi was arrested by the police.
The grandmother named Asma (80) was abused until she suffered bruises and lacerations on the victim's right hand.
The Sarolangun Police Chief AKBP Sugeng Wahyudiyono through the Pauh Police Chief AKP Maskat Maulana said the incident took place on September 26.
“The chronology of the incident when the victim was sweeping the terrace of the house, the victim's grandson on behalf of Yoga came out of the house and approached the victim and asked where the iron hammer was. Then the victim said he didn't know, suddenly for no reason the perpetrator who is also the victim's grandson was angry with the victim and said the victim was the thief of the iron hammer," said AKP Maskat, quoted from a written statement by the Police Public Relations Division, Friday, June 4.
“Then the victim's grandson hit the victim as his grandmother using a broom handle made of iron. Then the perpetrator immediately fled from the victim's house, "he continued.
The victim reported this case to the Pauh Police. Based on this report, the police are looking for the perpetrator.
"After knowing the whereabouts of the perpetrators of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Pauh Police, they immediately secured and brought the reported person/perpetrator to the Pauh Police for further processing," he added.
The police confiscated evidence, namely a broom with a broken iron handle. There is also a post-mortem which explains the condition of the victim's injuries.
The perpetrator is subject to Article 351 Paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code with a maximum imprisonment of two years and eight months.
