Minister Of Home Affairs Praises Public Service Innovation In Banyuwangi, Other Regions Can Follow The Example
BANYUWANGI - Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri) Tito Karnavian said other districts or cities could imitate various public service innovations that have been carried out by the Banyuwangi Regency Government, East Java.
"Banyuwangi can be a model, become a best practice for other regions. Banyuwangi continues to innovate, I have heard of various innovations. The innovation tradition is maintained. I will ask other regions to imitate. I just want to learn," said Minister of Home Affairs Tito, after visiting the Smart Kampung Desa service. Sukojati, Banyuwangi quoted by Antara, Friday, June 4.
The Minister of Home Affairs stated that his visit to "Bumi Blambangan" was nothing but to answer his curiosity about the various innovations and successes of the district on the eastern tip of Java Island.
Tito said he was surprised by the Smart Kampung public service system in the village in Banyuwangi. In fact, he admits that he lost to the village head in Banyuwangi in accessing various public service systems.
"I can honestly say, I have always been curious about Banyuwangi. Every public service competition at the ministry, Banyuwangi always wins. So I decided to come here directly," he said.
Tito appreciated the Smart Kampung service in Banyuwangi. The public service system at the village level developed by Banyuwangi with a touch of information technology.
"From the service system, I was surprised. At the Ministry of Home Affairs there is an Independent Dukcapil Pavilion system that takes care of civil records. But in villages in Banyuwangi I see it is even more complex. Not only about civil records, but can serve many services. There are even dozens of services," he said.
Minister of Home Affairs Tito added that this shows that Banyuwangi has succeeded in changing the mindset and performance of government human resources down to the village level.
"It's not easy, if you just change the building it might take two months to complete. Changing human resources is difficult," said Tito.
Meanwhile, Regent Ipuk Fiestiandani said the tradition of innovation continues to be applied in Banyuwangi in various government programs.
"Today we are facing a situation that is not easy due to the pandemic. There is a challenge of fiscal constraints, so continuing to innovate is the key, so since we were inaugurated on February 26, we have carried out various innovations," he said.
Sukojati Village Head Untung Suripno explained in detail the Smart Kampung program launched by the Banyuwangi Regency Government for villages.
In the program, a number of services are quite accessible at the village level, even independently through a machine prepared at the village office.
