10 Tons of Garbage in the Liar TPS Pasar Minggu is Transported One Truck per Day
JAKARTA - A total of 10 tons of garbage at a wild landfill on Jalan Masjid Al-Makmur, specifically near the Pasar Minggu train track, South Jakarta, is transported using one truck per day to the Bantargebang Integrated Waste Processing (TPST).
"This one truck is for all transportation, but the rest is the most gradual," said the Environmental Implementation Unit Officer of Pasar Minggu District, Ucok, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, April 1.
He said the transportation was carried out gradually considering the limitations of officers and fleets.
The number of cleaning staff at the location is around five people every day, who are tasked with arranging the garbage so that it does not accumulate at the location.
Meanwhile, the types of waste collected were dominated by household waste and market waste, such as vegetables, fruits, and food waste.
After being collected, some of the waste that still has economic value is sorted to be channeled to the garbage bank, while the rest is transported to the Bantargebang TPST.
"I hope the government and the community can work together to solve the problem of waste, including by increasing surveillance at vulnerable points of illegal dumping," said Ucok.
He also hopes that there will be an increase in the transportation fleet or an increase in the capacity of waste management so that the transportation process can run more optimally.
Not to forget, he appealed to the public to be more disciplined in throwing garbage in its place to reduce the burden on officers in the field.
"If the residents are disciplined, our work will be easier," said Ucok.
Previously, a number of residents were found still throwing garbage in the TPSliar on Jalan Masjid Al-Makmur, specifically in the train tracks area of Pasar Minggu Station, South Jakarta, despite there being a ban from the government.
The ban on littering refers to DKI Jakarta Regional Regulation Number 4 of 2019 and Governor Regulation Number 102 of 2021 concerning waste management, complete with the threat of sanctions of fines of up to Rp. 10 million or imprisonment for three months.
