Bahrain Fights Hezbollah, Arrests 3 Informants for Damaging US Base in Manama
JAKARTA - Bahrain is fighting parties affiliated with Lebanon's Hezbollah. A total of three people were arrested in connection with the Israeli enemy's paramilitary group in Bahrain.
The state news agency Bahrain, BNA, reported that the Ministry of the Interior (Kemendagri) of Bahrain said the three had coordinated with terrorist elements abroad.
"Attempting to conduct espionage with them with the intention of undermining the sovereignty of the country, spreading fear and panic among citizens and residents, and endangering the security and safety of the country," said the Bahraini Ministry of the Interior.
The three men arrested in Bahrain yesterday were identified as Ahmed Ahmed Hussain Madan, 24, Hassan Abdulameer Ashoor, 22, and Muntadhar Abdulmohsen Ali Madan, 29.
Based on the results of the investigation by the authorities, the Bahraini Ministry of the Interior said the three admitted that "during their trip to Lebanon, they received weapons training after meeting with members of the Lebanese terrorist organization Hezbollah."
According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, the three also sent pictures and information about the impact of Iran's retaliatory attacks on the US-Israeli onslaught, which often started from US military bases in Middle Eastern countries.
Bahrain is one of the Middle Eastern countries with an area of only about 780 square kilometers that hosts the headquarters of the Fifth Fleet of the US Navy (NSA Bahrain). The US military base in Jufair, Manama, is the location of US warships, including coastal combat ships.
Still based on the Bahrain Ministry of the Interior, the three men are said to have collected funds under the guise of charitable activities, then transferred them to support Hezbollah's activities in preparation for carrying out terrorist plans and actions in Bahrain.
