Bahlil: B50 Makes Solar Surplus, Pertadex Price and Subsidies Remain
JAKARTA - The government said that the energy policy prepared this year not only maintains fuel prices, but also strengthens domestic supplies. Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia said the implementation of B50 will make Indonesia a solar surplus.
"With the implementation of B50, God willing, this year we will experience a surplus for our solar. So this is good news once RDMP in East Kalimantan has been operated," said Bahlil in Seoul, South Korea, Tuesday, March 31.
In his explanation, Bahlil explained three main points. First, the national energy reserves are said to be safe because the stocks of solar, gasoline, gas, avtur, and LPG are above the national minimum limit.
Second, the government ensures that subsidized fuel prices remain the same. Third, the price of non-subsidized fuel, including Pertadex and high-quality solar, has also not changed because it is still under discussion.
"Regarding the matter of Pertadex fuel or high-quality solar, there has also been no price adjustment. Again, there has been no price adjustment," he said.
Even so, Bahlil admitted that the fluctuations in world energy prices were moving quickly. Therefore, the government will accelerate the study in accordance with global developments. He emphasized that the government's main concern remains the interests of the people, especially the poor.
"What is clear is that there is no price adjustment, especially the problem of subsidies," said Bahlil.
