Ayam Geprek Bekasi Employee Murdered for Refusing to Steal His Employer's Car

JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya is still investigating the case of mutilation of Abdul Hamid (39), an employee of a fried chicken geprek kiosk in Bekasi, West Java. The results of the interim investigation, the two suspects with initials S (27) and DS alias ANS (24) killed the victim because he refused to be invited to commit a theft

"Yes, we have arrested it. We have arrested it. Two people have been detained," said Director of Criminal Investigation of the Polda Metro Jaya, Iman Imanuddin, to the media, Tuesday, March 31, 2026.

According to Iman, the case began when the kiosk owner left his business since March 18, 2026 to go home. During that time, three permanent employees stayed at the location. However, the quiet situation was allegedly used by the two perpetrators to plan the crime. Then the victim with the initials AH was invited to participate in the plan, but refused.

"They are both employees there. Then one, the victim was invited to commit a crime but refused. So the two people killed the victim," he said.

Iman said the perpetrator initially planned to take control of the employer's car. However, due to the tight security system, the plan changed to stealing another vehicle. Even though the plan had been changed, the victim still refused to get involved. This made the perpetrator determined to end his own partner's life.

"However, the victim still did not want to follow the will of the suspects. Finally, the suspect killed the victim," he added.

Currently, said Iman, the two suspects have been detained at the Polda Metro Jaya and are still undergoing intensive examination. His party is also continuing to investigate the case to uncover the possibility of other facts behind the incident.

"Currently, both suspects are undergoing an examination process at the Polda Metro Jaya," he concluded.
