JAKARTA - The Upstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) has spoken out regarding the Decree to limit the quota for the purchase of Special Fuel Type Assignment (JBKP) Pertalite and Certain Fuel Type (JBT) Solar.
Head of BPH Migas, Wahyudi Anas, said that until now there has been no enforcement of restrictions on the purchase of fuel. According to him, this rule will only apply if his party has received instructions from the government.
"Of course, if we leave the government, we will follow it. It is impossible for us to regulate before the government issues a statement on how the community mechanism for purchasing fuel will be carried out," he told the media, Tuesday, March 31.
Meanwhile, regarding the validity of the document, Head of BPH Migas Wahyudi Anas did not give a firm answer regarding its authenticity. He did not explicitly deny it but also did not confirm that the document was authentic.
He only emphasized that his party had not officially released the rules. He explained that all policies regarding adjustments to fuel purchases were the full authority of the central government.
Wahyudi emphasized that BPH Migas acted as an executor waiting for further instructions. According to him, the mechanism for the purchase of fuel by the public will follow the official statement of the government.
"So in this program, all KOLs in the government are automatically yes and that is the government's target and we do not expect BPH Migas to issue early and others," continued Wahyudi.
